Back in the day when I was an airline crew dog we would overnight at the Eugene Hilton. Any room facing east above the fifth floor would give you a great view of the SP (not UP) tracks. The OE depot was only a block away. It was a great hotel except when the Grateful Dead did their concert at the U of O. The band stayed at the Hilton and you could get a buzz from the second hand smoke for a week afterwards.
