The phone Co. has had this basic instruction in place for some time. The placement of an orange cone to the rear of the vehicle WHENEVER it is parked is a proceedure that, when not followed, is grounds for on the spot termination ( call a cab, you're fired). This all stems from an accident years ago when an employee backed over a child that had been playing behind the truck resulting in a fatality. The cone is to FORCE a check to the rear of the vehicle before ANY move. PErhaps the UP has hired the law firm that works for the phone co.
