Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that #60 was the ONLY Alco in an all Baldwin fleet?

Number 60 was the last steam engine purchased by the Great Western arriving in September, 1937.
The engine was the second to be sold, a few weeks after GW #51, on August 23rd, 1963.

She had 51 inch drivers.
