I drove by Vaughn about 6 weeks ago and it looked like it was still single track. I believe that from Vaughn to Carnero, 8 miles, is still single track with a 10,665' siding at Tejon. That is about in the middle of the single track. I saw trains waiting at both Vaughn and Carnero and it did not look like any immediate construction was going to happen.

There is still single track for 2 miles at Ft Sumner, where the line crosses the Pecos River. I drove through Ft Sumner last weekend.

Abo Canyon has been double tracked for several years.
