Howard, has the RTC addressed the issue of long term freight service with specific respect to reviving business that once existed on the line? Certainly I know some of that lost business is permanently gone, but is anyone looking forward enough to try to encourage new traffic? It seems the onetime Lonestar RMC cement plant could be converted to produce methane from sewage and biomass. Not necessarily because any of the extant infrastructure is re-usable, but that an industrial site of moderate size with rail service is available.
Thanks for all of your pics and info on the Santa Cruz line.
