There's no age limit on Private Cars on AMTRAK as long as they can pass inspection they can run.
There are limits on what trains they can operate on due to various mecnaical and dimensional cratisits.

Buit otherwise since they fall under highly inspected cars they can be a lot older then 40 Years FRA requied condemed for intercahnge date and still be pulled by AMTRAK and handeled by freight Railroads as long as the car has roller berings and a current air date.

The Pine Bluff although not operating on AMTRAK at this time is a 1913 Pullman Built EP&SW Coach originally and it would still be running if not for the preveious owners pure neglect.
