My parents lived in Spokane 1940-1943. My dad liked to ride a bicycle (WWII = gas rationing) around the area and he took some pictures. Here are a couple of GN 4-8-2's in Spokane.

Both appear to have been taken between Monroe St and the bridge over the Spokane river, west of downtown. This was not too far from where they lived on West Dalton St.
