Jack Wheelihan is a retired EMD employee. He has authored several well written articles about his experiences in all aspects of delivering new diesel locomotives to various railroads. This includes problem shooting, training, etc. He was extremely knowledgeable about the SD45. I also recall an article he wrote about the Santa Fe's SD75's and some special requirements that they had.

In addition to his work with EMD, he is also part of the 4449 operating crew, often working as a Fireman when 4449 is on the road. He may also be a part of the UP steam crew, although I am not certain of this.

Jack is a true gentleman and an excellent writer. I would love to see more articles written by him. Excellent reading!
