Repairing POTB will require massive infusions of cash from disasture relief funds set up and administered by some governmental agency at the state or Federal level. The politicians have a lot of ground work to do to get everything set up for that to happen, and it will be a little while before any dollars become available. A POTB employee on another board did say that all operating people have been laid off and will remain so until they have money and are ready to start repairs, and that most of the repair work will likely be done by Rick Franklin (who also repaired the POTB after the 1996 floods and recently purchased the Albany & Eastern).
