I'm surprised it took this long, what with all the construction to accommodate the S.L.U.T. tracks upsetting the natural order of things in the area. At least some of the streets were resurfaced, some for the 1st time in years. However, this means more RR history is being covered up. Get your pix now of the remaining NP industrial trackage. The new trolley tracks run right next to old spurs in some places.
BTW, when were the tracks in this area last operated by BN ??? The John Wayne movie " McQ", filmed in the early '70's, includes a WFE reefer in the background of one scene that was shot in South Lake Union. I also have in my collection a 1977 Kroll map of downtown Seattle that shows a rail spur running South between Terry & Boren to below Denny St. Any ideas ???
