Speaking of the Runner, doesn't the state of NM own the line between Belen and Trinidad? If the SWChief is the only activity on the line between Trinidad and wherever the Santa Fe (commuter train) branch connects, is there any way to justify keeping it? I don't see either the state or Amtrak paying for keeping the line in service for 1 train a day each way.
