Nick,
It looks like the first departure is at 5:45 PM on Friday November 22nd. There will be plenty of opportunities for you to shoot video.
Regarding a yard and maintenance location, the industrial spurs in Watsonville will serve until the bridges are repaired. I just learned on Thursday that the La Selva Beach Bridge will be replaced with a new bridge instead of a partial replacement and repair.
After the line is reopened past MP 9.0 the following locations are likely candidates for a maintenance facility, storage yard and a restoration facility.
