Electrifing California Rails would also be a bad idea

The Looney Left and Crybaby NIMBYs killed San Onofre, most out of state cheap coal power, several old Natural Gas plants and will not allow a major 500,000 volt transmission line to be built from the wind and solar plants in the high desert to the basin
I doubt California would have any power to spare to electrify the rails in the state
