Pickering #1 went from the Pickering to being on display in Monterey. It was then donated to the PLA who moved it to their storage area in Fremont within sight of the BART tracks. It has recently been traded to the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad and hopefully will be moved soon so that it can be restored. Sister locomotive #5 is also part of the PLA collection and there is talk that it may be the next loco to be restored by the PLA steam crew.
