Great observation. I remember riding behind the 4449 years ago to the Sac. rail fair. Yes hundreds of people took photos and followed the train. But many more people barely noticed. MOST people don't care about trains or railroading. When I read about some saying they should reopen a rail line like the Monterey branch or Santa Cruz. (Wherever). And how popular it would be . They don't realize most people don't care. When is the last time you rode a tourist line? Most tourist lines struggle to survive. Have you been on the reopened Skunk line yet?
