More than likely the second train told the first to stop as the first on was struck mid train . Without knowing what the approach to this grade crossing looks like from the train view it is possible that the second train crew saw the impact and went into emergency as they appear to be well on the way to stopping at the point of impact. The dash cam view is myopic at best.
