It appears this incident occured on where the Salt Lake Subdivision crosses 2600 South in Woods Cross, UT. From what I heard through other news outlets, she had crashed a party and the police were called, so she ran from them. There was a second officer, not seen on the video until right before the 2nd impact who was chasing her. This grade crossing has 4 tracks - 2 are UP main line, one is UTA Frontrunner and the last is what appears to be an industrial siding which diverges about 1/2 miles south from the UTA line (there is a cross over to the UP at that point as well - Sorry about the lack of specific info, I don't have my AP timetable handy). The old D&RGW line is to the west a block.
The UP right of way is tangent track for about a mile to the north, so I am sure the 2nd freight saw the accident occur and applied the brakes. It stops about 20 seconds after impact, and considering it took only 40 seconds for the 2nd impact to happen after the first, the 2nd freight was likely only a couple thousand feet from the crossing when she hit the first train.
I wonder if she has recently seen a scene from Dukes of Hazzard or something simlar, thinking she could jump through an open box car door and escape the police.
