I have spent some time in Longview as a result of past employment with an auction company that did auctions in the area. I always thought that Longview/Kelso was a neat area. Several times I enjoyed long walks around town in the evenings.

Since Weyhauser recently sold off their rail operations in the Longview area, I assume that their hiring won't be for railroad jobs.

David, this is probably true for mill and dock jobs. Those are physically demanding jobs that are generally not suitable for older workers. However, I have worked for some companies that actually value their older workers because they are more dependable and tend to have fewer substance abuse issues.
