Hey peedeex- Amen! If the viewers/constituencies of Ailes/Murdoch/O'Reilly/Hannity etc. had a clue about the on-going scandal that is News Corp. and its operations in Britain, and I'm not talkin' about hacked phones and Milly Downer only (you can Google this, Fox defenders!), the real outrage (as opposed to the faux-outrage ginned up by certain media "players") would torpedo that bad ship dead amidships.
When I had more to do with Britain in the past decades, I watched as Keith (his real first name, as it was his father's also) first bought out both tabloid and then "quality" titles, e.g. The Sun and The Times, then relentlessly drove them downmarket in a race to the bottom that prefigured what we see here. This after his tame Congressman got him made a citizen by statute (no waiting in the queue or jumping fences for our boy!)
To the other readers of this forum, my apologies for this off-topic rant, but everything said is either factual or opinion supported by evidence accrued over the past 30+ years. Flame away, but stick with the facts and/or support your gripes with sustainable arguments, not shibboleths or ad hominem kvetching.
