As I already knew, the response to my points is the equivalent of the immortal lines of the Great and Terrible OZ in the eponymous movie, "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!"
As I said to a lawyer once, "Your responses are inapposite and non-responsive." She lost the appeal.
Really, I can't recall any WaPo editors being brought up on the kind of charges being faced by Rebekkah Wade Brooks or Andy Coulson (You can look them up!). Nor, speaking of being in bed with the (HM) Government, is there anything comparable there to the coziness, in every sense of the word, between the abovementioned and a certain D. Cameron. No, there was and is not, at least insofar as I know. I am wiling to be proven wrong, with evidence, not slander and innuendo. Got some? Come back after you Google up the phone-hacking scandal and all that pertains thereto, and tell me that K.Rupert Murdoch is a fit and proper person to hold licenses to use the publically owned airwaves for any purpose, be they ever so benign. He is welcome to his nwspapers. They're already degraded, and that's a separate set of issues.
Whatever you think of the politics of the incumbent goverment of the United States, be it ever so correct, it does not alter the reality previously mentioned. As I said, bring evidence, not misdirection; this ain't no magic show.
