Colton Crossing is one of those projects that "benefits" private companies. Another "terrible" project that improves access to and from by far the largest US Port complex, for the rest of America. And, wouldn't it be just awful that these freight railroads might take a few trucks off of our dilapidated freeways?
And, ain't it just awful that this money went to improve service and reduce congestion on two competing railroads at the same time, improving access to POLA/POLB, maintaining our existing and future competiveness, creating more efficient use of our existing rail system, while creating some badly needed jobs?
Never mind the significant future benefits in capacity and reliability for present and future Metrolink operations in that corridor, either. And, curse those benefits from less fuel consumption and less diesel particulate to breath, that's just terrible, too.
Don't these investments in America's future just suck? Aren't these evil trains just a menace to mankind?
Evil Thomas must be stopped!
