Another derailment ...
I have heard of a railroad superstition that bad things happen in threes - and here is number three.
CN (old DMIR) piled up a taconite train in Two Harbors, Minnesota today.

Pure speculation on my part - again. Mapping program shows that the train was entering the main yards and dock area, so speed would presumably have been low at restricted speed. Pictures of derailment damage suggest a higher speed, and this would not be the first runaway into Two Harbors.
Fortunately, at least compared to the last two major derailments, only injuries were to two crew members and they are supposed to not be major.
This is potentially the third derailment in the last week that involved excess speed, and possibly the second runaway. The reastion from the news, politicians and the FRA could be interesting.
