Talked to a couple of people who claimed to know what is going on down there.
Told me there was some interest in reopening the line and that some work had been
done and somewhere along the line work was stopped. There was also a piece in the
Lewiston Paper about three months ago about some sort of a mine opening up on the
line that would use rail service, but the mine company was having to deal with a
couple of enviro groups that were challenging the idea, and the Idaho dept of ecology
had some questions as well. Haven't been able to get down that way to see for myself,
maybe others have more info.
