The railcar in the photo is a so-called "blimp",and looks like a freight motor. I surmise that the logo might be from the Railway Express Agency,or so it looked IIRC, others here will be better informed. These types of cars started out on the SP subsidiaries in the SF Bay Area, the Interurban Electric and the Northwestern Pacific, and migrated to the P.E. when inerurban service was wound up in those places and in response to the traffic demands of WWII.
