Mr. Brains,
In the case of Daylight Diesels, I cannot help. I didn't start shooting slides until mid-1964 and the Daylight paint scheme was history except on a very few passenger cars. Also, no F-units ever worked the Coast trains in the Daylight paint. Only one F was ever painted that way and it was on the Cotton Belt. It did get transferred to the Coast Division but by then had been repainted and renumbered to #6462. It spent most of its remaining years on off-hour commute trains.
Daylight units on the Coast were either EMD E-units or ALCO PA's and I never (much to my chagrin) took any photos of them in any paint scheme. The last few years before the Amtrak Armageddon, found Trains 98 and 99, as well as the Lark, with red nosed combinations of FP's, GP9's, and the SDP45's. There are several of my photos on here and at Railpictures.net.
