With all due respect for Jim Bruggere's (Bug's) many notable and valuable contributions, he had nothing to do with the actual movement. During the move CCT #70 was operated by NWPY's General Manager, Joel Torres (a FRA certified Engineer) and the ground man was Darell Gattis, NWPY's CMO, who were ably (?) assisted by all sorts of hangers-on. Prior to the move, Darrell and Jerry Stickney spent long hours getting CCT #70 running and into FRA compliance (which was a condition placed on FRA's waiver of Emergency Order #21 that allowed the move to be made).
