George R. Stewart was a very very favorite writer of mine-----I read Storm and Fire long before I entered Berkeley as freshman English major and I was so excited that I would be able at some time to take a class from him. Well, talk about disappointment!! he was a terrific writer but as a professor he spoke with a "wabbit " like lisp and his lectures were incredibly boring----------but I still got an A in the class because I bought the Cliff notes and didn't have to go to class but read the books. Though he was a disappointment, nis books definitely were not.!! Do read them!!
