Too true to be funny. And I'm afraid I can one-up that with a true story:

On the day a young hogger was laid down to rest,
One cold-hearted boss decided to test.

"No trains will be called" instructed the chief,
so that his fellow workers can sort out their grief.

But the Super sat down and he thought pretty hard,
"No trains on my watch will hold in the yard."

The town's biggest room that day was full,
excpet for his buddies that had trains to pull.

You can't hold a train when a brother dies.
And besides, they were only white lies.

It was then that boss hatched a devious plan,
"I'll put up a banner as fast as I can."

"I drove a long ways just to sit in a crowd.
My actions today will make my boss proud."

"If I catch a sad hogger I'm sure he'll complain,
but its not such a bad thing to hold up a train."

"I have to show these crews who's in charge,
and the number of mourners was overly large."

"My banner's delay will only be brief,
and it should help the boys forget their grief."

"I endured the service and sat through the cries,
and now I'm the road foreman they all despise."
