In a word, no. Most of the work is being done during the day, Thursdays are one of the primary work days along with weekends. One of our claims to "fame" is that we are a working museum. And yes, it takes some special attention to safety to protect the public and we all work on this.
Having said all this, we do try to keep heavy noise activities and painting to non-public days although we are geared to provide ear plugs to visitors as needed.
In a day or two I expect the 700 to go up on jacks as the PRPA crew works to replace some springs in the trailing truck....always something to see.

The Oregon Rail Heritage Center in Portland is open Thursday through Sunday, 1 to 5 pm, admission is by donation. Arlen
