Another VERY nice photo! Brings back nice memories
of the weekend Muni Trolley Festival in the early 1980s, which
we often rode.

HUTCH --
That is the old East Portal of the Muni's Twin Peaks Tunnel, at 17th
and Market, which was removed during the modifications made to
construct the Muni Metro system. I remember riding a few excursions
and going into and out of the (temporary) Eureka Tunnel portal before
the J Church extension was built. Those were the days -- riding a historic
streetcar through the Twin Peaks Tunnel! The Muni Metro Control system knew
the old cars were there, but could not control them. Those were always fun rides!
Even rode the Boat car through that tunnel a couple of times! THAT was FUN!
