I recall that some years ago, TRAINS magazine did an article on Sierra Railroad. I think the owner, Chris Hart (I think that's correct), had recently purchased it. I recall him saying that he'd like Sierra to get the connecting ATSF branch (happened), but also that he'd like to have Sierra tracks blanketing the mountains, or something like that. I no longer have the issue to check. Was there ever a chance of something like that happening, was it just pie-in-the-sky dreams, or was he just messing with a gullible reporter?
