I have to put in my personal plug for Western Rail's operation of the Geiger spur. How many places in 2008 can you see a 56 year old GP7 working and earning her keep? Thursday mornings around 7:30am we start from our H.Q. on McFarlane Rd just west of Hayford Rd. Gather up the empties and meet the BNSF CDA local at West Fairchild, right along hwy 2. We give them the empties and get the loads. Normally done between 10:30am and noon. Decent picture possibilities along McFarlane road, especially in winter when the sun is in the south. No public access inside of Fairchild AFB though.
