OK, its not open to the public yet, but testing is ongoing and the scheduled opening is later this year. This is an isolated system that provides connections between the main BART system and the Oakland Airport.

This system is cable powered - somewhat similar to neighboring San Francisco's Cable Cars. The "critter" shown with the cable car above is battery powered. During testing, the battery powered critter is used when the cable is not running.
