And it's because of stupid incidents as portrayed in the video, that will result in a brand new federal law banning ANY PERSON from occupying a passenger platform adjacent to an active main train, until all rail movement has stopped, is protected by blue flags/lights with full brake application and throttle set and centered, with appropriate personnel to protect the train, track and platform, and the platform must have positive protection devices ensuring that people cannot inadvertently access the trackway.

In other words, boarding a passenger train anywhere will become the convoluted mess that is involved with boarding an Amtrak Cascades train in Portland, Oregon...a commuter train will have to make every stop 10 minutes long to safely board and deboard passengers.
