Reportedly (sources) SP 1150 was built as EMDX 1600B aftet being purchased by SP it became SP 4700, class DF-301, serial number 13550, order number 4147, frame number: 4147-B1. Built in Nov. 1950. Class changed to DS-601 in 1963. Then it was renumbered to 1150, SP Class ES408B-1 in the 1965 renumbering. Retired in 1978, sold in 1979.
