You know Steve, your photos of the old SP switchers bring back some memories of my teen years in the early 70's, when I used to ride my bicycle over to D&J in Campbell. Of the photos you are posting, Athearn was producing virtually all of those SP switchers in HO scale. They were really neat to see, but back then at that age, I didn't have the spare change to buy them! I guess today you can't find many, if any being produced by the model companies.
