Well....don't mean to split hairs here but the TR units were a "cow/calf" configuration, each producing power with its own engine/generator whereas what you refer to as "her mother" would be a powered locomotive in which one half of its output is delivered to the "daughter" or "slug" through cables and feeds an additional set of motors for traction. The TR units could have been converted to a "mother/daughter configuration but would not have been practical with only an 800 hp switcher for power

Believe what you have at Portola is the "cow" from the set and the "calf" probably went to the pasture in the sky!.
