The notion of supremeness and omnipitence of the Fed was settled a long time ago by Shays' Rebellion (Massachusetts, 1786). It's also caught up in the concepts and principles of "nationhood" vis-a-vis other countries like China, the UK, Germany, Russia, and so on.
