BNSF runs a daily (maybe M-F) local to Ayer. Known as the "Low Line". They may still have trackage rights all the way to Riparia but they only go to Ayer these days since thats where the UP and BNSF do their interchange.

These rights were granted when the original NP branch off the SP&S was flooded out in the 60's when dams were constructed on the Snake River. I recall a trip to the area in the 80's when the Camas Prarie train came down to Ayer, did their UP interchange and then headed back towards Lewiston. While they were in Ayer the BN showed up and followed the CP to Riparia to do the interchange instead of just doing it in Ayer.
