Same thing happened in San Diego, Redondo Beach and LA. San Pedro St. in LA was being resurfaced, the city owned heavy girder rail imbedded in concrete was left alone and paved over. Also, where the PE San Pedro-Long Beach line crossed Alameda St., rails peak through the asphalt from time to time.
