I understand that most Railroad right of ways include a utility easement, usually a phone line buried next to the tracks. Milwaukee Road Lines West has had such a line for many years. The bigger problem is the Puget Sound Electric transmission line that now runs down the middle of the R of W in several locations.
Regarding Grienstein, Krebs, and Stampede Pass, the possibly that EwePee might buy Washington Central and force their way over Stampede cannot be ignored.
