MRL In Yakima?

Was in Yakima, Washington last week visiting family and always look north from the Nob Hill overpass when over the tracks. The train shed (?) about 1/4 mile away had about three or four what looked like MRL locomotives plus the local SW switcher (ex WCRC) parked outside. None were coupled together and all were on different tracks for the most part, so assuming it wasn't extra HP for the Cascade mountains if WB traffic is happening. Could anyone answer me as to why there would be a cluster of these Washington Corp. owned locomotives in Yakima? Does MRL now own the Stampede Pass line?
