The report I saw (passibly the same one that "Z" mentioned) indicated those former MRL units were going to the Central Washington Railroad, headquartered in Yakima.

The Stampede line is now the eastbound leg of a directional line pair. The westbound trains use the 'water level' line along the Columbia River and then north to the Puget Sound area. Many of the eastbounds over Stampede are unit 'empties', returning east after unloading in Western Washington or the Vancouver BC area.
