I could never drive on the 210 west of Pasadena without thinking about the bit (on the way to Tehachapi.) There was an announcer in the studio who talked to two guys on the road for Globe Tires. These spots were very much in the Bob and Ray mode. So these guys are on the road and call in saying they are on the LA to Canada Freeway. The announcer is incredulous and asks where they are exactly. When they say they are passing JPL, the announcer says "La Canada , they're in La Canada," in a droll voice. Killed me every time.
