In the '60s I was a guest one day at Malarkey Wall's estate and enjoyed riding his coal-fired 0-4-0 which ran on a good-sized loop of track around his property which is located about eight miles southwest of Banks, Oregon. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera with me to record the event. This many years later I just recall that it had a typical European-style cab for locos of that era. Looking at a recent aerial view shows the track to still be in place. Malarkey must be near 80 years old by now and I've often wondered if his engine was still in service.
