Ola Pancho mi amigo! Anyhow, Most will just continue to walk. After the closest rail line to the Mexico / Guatemala border (run by G&W actually) got wiped out in 2005 by Hurricane Stan, they just started walking further north to find other lines. No matter how you feel about how the US deals with it, you must admit that people are not doing this trek for fun. Think about living in a place (let's say Honduras) described by the CIA fact book as follows: "Honduras is one of the poorest countries in Latin America and has the world's highest murder rate. More than half of the population lives in poverty and per capita income is one of the lowest in the region." Not saying it is OK to break the law...but these places are literally hell and most people with any means to do so, are getting the @&8# out of there.
