An Off Topic comment for sure; spoken as if the long ago occupants of the land had some sort of right to defend against new invaders; while the modern occupants somehow do not have any such rights.
Well, that is pure and simply a false premise, in its entirety.
Long ago, eventually they (native Americans) rightfully did defend against it - but failed. So what happened to them? History will repeat itself, if we do not heed that lesson.
So, we should be doing exactly what they did; rightfully defending against all kinds of invasions. Not eventually - but RIGHT NOW! Illegal entry en-mass should not be tolerated. But immigration should be an orderly and lawful process, set to our current economic capacity to absorb new peoples. Otherwise, those coming here will not experience the better life they came here for.
Too bad every single department of the administrative branch has become a totally balkanized and dis-functional law unto own itself, beyond the power of Congress or even the President to control. Or is the President actually in control of it all - but to his own liking?
That's hard to say, but clearly, our immigration policy failures are merely reflective of a much larger collapse of government (the failure to actually govern). It is merely one symptom of a totally out of control and failing administrative branch.
Every single department is similarly afflicted and dis-functional. We all have heard of the failings of the so-called Obama-Care; the IRS; the pentagon; and especially the VA, which is so massively dis-functional that it borders on criminal negligence. But it even includes smaller agencies such as the NTSB, FRA, FTA and especially the STB, which has totally failed to maintain effective rail competition in significant portions of the country; or to even keep the playing field level within the rail industry.
Obviously, Congress must somehow take back all that power it has previously delegated to the Administrative branch, retaining the powers granted to it by the Constitution unto itself, the people's representative. They can be held accountable by the voters. Bureaucrats cannot be. While the Presidency administrates those bureaucrats, Congress must directly regulate them.
