Meteor Takes Aim At Hatton

There were reports of a meteor landing this morning in the fields near Hatton, WA. This was quite an object, as it was sighted entering the atmosphere as far away as Vancouver, BC, Calgary, AB and parts of Oregon too. Upon streaking across the sky at 05:45, it landed luckily in an area that has little to offer as a target compared to a large city's density.

The morning radio report said that it landed very near to the intersection of Lind-Hatton Road and Hwy 26. This location is very close to the busy BNSF line between Pasco and Spokane. Some time in the morning, the report concluded that the meteor actually hit the asphalt on Hwy 26.

Were any hoggers in the area to give a first-hand account of what they saw?
