Great rail trips and great rail traditions?

Will 3751 be making the trip to San Berdo this year? I had heard or misheard or picked up somewhere that the reconstruction of platforms on the north side of the Depot is cancelling choo-choo days this year?

It was also my understanding that one of the reasons that 3751 doesn't make as many trips to San Dag as we would like was because of several bridge weight restrictions on the tender. This, I was told, affected the amount of water and fuel, requiring the fire departments to supply water going down and coming back, on my last trip in Stan's car, the Pony Express.

So if that was the case, has the replacement of "trestle's" and the other new bridges done anything to finally alleviate that restriction? And, are there any planned trips to SD by 3751 anytime soon?

Also, does anyone have any idea when the 2926 is going to be running? I have a trip to the GCRR planned for Spring and may take some time to see mesa's, parks, and trains while I'm in the neighborhood, and I've added seeing this baby running hard to the bucket list.

And, speaking of Stan and the Pony, anybody know how he's been doing, and is the car still back in Santa Fe, as I'd been told or heard somewhere?

It's a lot better when you can actually smell the fuel oil in the open baggage door and wave at the folks by the tracks..... So we miss the Pony in LA.
