Pomona could have all the city ordinances they wanted relating to held crossing times, but to no avail. I remember one time Mike Irvine, at one time LA Div. Superintendent, went to a city council meeting because the City of SBA was wanting to lower the SP's speed through SBA. Mike told them not only was that not going to happen, but because of track upgrades the speed would increase from 25 to 50 MPH. I heard the council went ballistic.
